Rebecca O’Connor, co-founder and director of Good With Money, will step down as editor from October 31 to join Royal London as personal finance specialist.
Rebecca Jones is appointed editor, and can be reached on rebeccajonesuk@gmail.com and from November 1, on rebecca.jones@good-with-
She will be supported by a commercial manager and social media manager and these new team members will be announced in due course.
Rebecca O’Connor said: “Lisa and I set up Good With Money three years ago and it has come along way – we’ve been delighted by the engagement and positivity both from industry and readers and feel we’ve really tapped into a vein at the right time, as millennials in particular begin to demand more sustainable products across the board, including in financial services.”
The site has quickly grown to become a trusted source for investors and consumers wanting to do their bit for the environment and society with their cash. It launched the Good Egg mark for responsible financial services providers in May 2017.
Lisa Stanley, co-founder and director, said: “Our aim has always been to broaden the market for responsible financial services, bringing a growing range of products to an increasingly wide and engaged audience. The Good Egg Mark, launched in 2017 to help people identify accredited financial providers, helps us meet that aim.”
Rebecca Jones said: “I am, in short, thrilled to be the new editor of Good With Money. As an evangelical advocate of sustainable finance I have been a big supporter of the website since its earliest days and have watched with glee as it has grown into the go-to consumer hub for all things SRI that it is today. I passionately believe in the Good With Money ethos and mission and I can’t wait to work with the team to develop and expand it even further.”
Rebecca O’Connor said: “Good With Money will continue to open up new ways of thinking about finance and to give people the most practical info out there on how their money can do good and give them a good deal, through its use of creative and engaging posts, guides, videos, podcasts and social media.”
“The site has lots more in the pipeline and a new, experienced and enthusiastic team can help make it happen.”
Rebecca O’Connor and Lisa Stanley remain shareholders in Good With Money.
