Written by Lori Campbell on 19th Mar 2021

The global pandemic has been something of a rollercoaster over the last year, not just in our personal lives but in the stock markets too. While the financial markets suffered their worst falls since 1987, sustainable funds have proved more robust on average than their peers.

As we now begin to emerge from the grip of Covid-19, and companies seek to find solutions to the world’s problems, investors are increasingly looking to use their cash to make a positive impact on the planet and society.

Here, Jen Gale – founder of the Sustainable-ish blog – interviews Mathieu Nègre, portfolio manager at Union Bancaire Priveé. about the role of the financial markets in helping to fight the climate crisis.
